⚘ Visiting Cincinnati ⚘

Drawing of Cincinnati, Ohio

If you know Andrea and Ben, you know they love their home region of Southwest, Ohio. If you are visiting from out of town, we want you to make the most of your stay! Below are some recommendations for things to do while you are here.

Food

Brown Bear Bakery (Over the Rhine): Ben and Andrea traveled all around Paris looking for pastries that could rival those by Brown Bear, to no avail!! Whether you are craving something sweet or savory you will not be disappointed. Great coffee, too. Sister bakery to Two Seven Two.

Two Seven Two (Clifton): The sister bakery to Brown Bear, but in Andrea's home neighborhood of Clifton :') Very similar baked goods as Brown Bear but they also sell delicious loaves of bread in addition to sweet and savory pastries. Also great coffee and other seasonal drinks!

Bridges (Northside): Yummy fast-casual Nepali food including momo. Good veggie options.

Skyline Chili (everywhere, but the cutest one is in Clifton): Cincinnati's pride and joy. Don't knock it till you've tried it! Their vegetarian chili is very good; Andrea's recommendation is the veggie burrito deluxe.

Deeper Roots Coffee (Over the Rhine and Hyde Park): Good coffee shop. Andrea likes the Cherry Cordial with nitro cold brew.

Sights and Things To Do

Cincinnati Union Terminal and Museum Center (Downtown): Beautiful art deco train station with amazing mosaics in the main hall. It's worth checking out the main hall even if you don't plan to go to the exhibits!

Cincinnati Art Museum (Eden Park): Free art museum! This is where the wedding will be but you should try to visit before/after the wedding, because the galleries will not be open during the event.

Cincinnati Music Hall and Washington Park (Over the Rhine): A beautiful and giant victorian gothic building that is home to the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Opera, and the Cincinnati Ballet. Across the street is Washington Park, an urban park with a gazebo, a playground, and a water feature where locals come to enjoy summertime.

Findlay Market (Over the Rhine and Hyde Park): Oldest public market in Ohio selling produce, cheeses, meats, flowers, and more. Fun to walk around, and also a nice lunch spot!

Smale Riverfront Park (Downtown): Park along the river with gardens and swings that is very nice to walk along, especially in the morning and evening.

Mt. Airy Forest: Forest with nice easy trails to walk.
